Last week we installed Cacher pour mieux montrer in Saskatoon. The temporary installation covers public art in the city for 3 weeks, bringing it back to attention and starting conversation about public art. The weather was very clement, considering the time of year, and the public's reaction was really positive and supportive. Here are a few pictures of the work in progress:

Will the plastic be recycled? We don't need more items put in the garbage dump. Just wondering.
Dear Anonymous, thanks for your question.
The plastic used is a standard Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) (recycling number 4), and is commonly recycled into garbage can liners,plastic lumber,trash cans,plastic furniture and films.
Great!! Will the people who are removing the LDPE know to put it into the recycling system? Thanks !!
It is likely that we'll be doing te removal ourselves, if not the team doing it will take the films directly to a plastic recycling company in Saskatoon.

Thanks for adding a scan code to the plastic as it has been several weeks speculating on why the art had been covered. My family and I are missing the original art which we very much enjoy. Now I see that you are adding colour to the coverings which is an improvement over the plastic alone.
Could your project be better publicized?
